A Word On VBAC

What better way to welcome you to my new website, then to bring you informative content. I’ve been a doula for close to seven years now and have identified some arenas of birth and topics that I’m particularly interested in. Let’s jump right in to the big questions. One of the many types of birth that I am very passionate about supporting, is the choice many women make of trying for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). This seems to be coming increasingly sought after as we’ve watched the rise of cesareans happen in many hospitals and the seeming lack of choices presented to many women, especially if they have already had one cesarean birth. If you are looking for a doula who is not only passionate about VBACs, but has also attended numerous successful VBACs, you’ve come to the right place. If you want to have a successful VBAC, one of your first steps is to arm yourself with information, education, and positive support. Please read this wonderful article from one of my favorite magazines. It will give you much food for thought.  http://www.midwiferytoday.com/articles/dozen.asp
